Terrapin Masters Practices
All Terrapin Masters practices are held in the University of Maryland's Eppley Recreation Center Natatorium.
Facility
The University of Maryland's Eppley Recreation Center opened its doors in 1998. The facility is UMD's primary fitness facility for students, faculty and staff, and houses the Rec department offices, a 2-story weight room, track, racquetball/squash courts, basketball/volleyball courts, jogging studio, aerobic studio, boxing studio, martial arts studio, table tennis studio and of course the Natatorium. Also at the facility are a Pro Shop and a Smoothie stand.
The Natatorium features two pools (one 25y x 25y instructional pool and a 50m x 25y competition pool), twin 1m and 3m diving boards, saunas and seating for 1100 fans. The competition pool tapers from 8 to 13 feet in depth, is lined with non-turbulent lane ropes and features two bulkheads to allow for pool configurations for Short Course Yards, Short Course Meters and Long Course Meters. The facility has hosted many international, national and regional meets, most recently including the 2007 US Paralympics Open, the 2008 IGLA Championships, the 2009 ACC Swimming & Diving Conference Championships, the 2009 NCAA Women's Water Polo Final Four and the 2010 Guard Wars competition.

Pool Workouts Pool workouts take place in the ERC Natatorium pools, on most days in the main Competition tank. Workouts are led by Head Coach Ginny Glover (more info on Ginny) and typically range in length from 3000-4500 yards/meters per 90 minute workout. Most practices are structured with a specific focus in mind (for example: sprints, mid distance/distance free, stroke, IM, kick). Because of the diverse nature of our team, different workouts and lane-specific intervals are available to meet all swimmers' needs. Kickboards, pull buoys, paddles and fins are made available for team use.

Dryland Workouts Dryland workouts take place in the Aerobic Studio on the 1st floor. Workouts are led by one of CRS' fantastic trainers, Jason, with a focus on developing core (abdominal) strength. In addition to using medicine balls, weight bars and other fitness toys, many exercises also take advantage of one's own body weight.
